Herb Garden of Eden for Gena

Most of you know that my precious sister in law, Gena, has a very complicated heart disease.  Though you would never know it if you met her.  This girl is the most joyful little ball of sunshine you will EVER meet!  She and Ryan are up at Mayo Clinic right now for a check up, so far all good news!!!  Drew and I decided to bless her with her own little mini garden of Eden!!!  The blessing has really been all mine, it has been so fun to make and I can’t wait to see her face!

First Drew build this amazing cedar planting box.  We needed something up off the ground to keep Krissy the bulldog out!  And he added a removable planter in the center for her Basil plant to be brought inside when it gets cold (Basil freaks out in the cold).  The box is so so beautiful.  For those that do not know, my husband is a carpentry, handy-man, can do just about anything genius!  So if you need something built, fixed, or remodeled give us a call!!!  We will be launching his new business name and website “New Creation Contracting” very soon!

Ok, back to the Herb Garden.  It was pretty simple.  I bought the plants, some little pebbles and other pretty things like the butterfly, little bird and a lady bug (that’s her thing).  I planted basil, thyme, oregano, spearmint, chocolate mint, chamomile and some edible viola flowers.  I left a little open space in case she wants to add something to her garden herself.  That’s it.  What do you think???
