DIY Beauty Mask

Well, this post is for sure for the ladies, sorry guys.  Although, my husband did say he wanted to lick my face when I sent him this picture!!!  And guys, if you really wanna score points, mix up this mask and treat your girl to a spa day at home.  Bonus points – include a nice relaxing pumpkin foot rub (what else are you going to do with that jack-o-lantern?)

So, I woke up this am in a bit of a funk I think.  If you have been following my personal blog you know that I have been in a season that many would call a “dark night of the spirit”  for several months.  And just when I thought I was seeing the light of morning, WHAM, I got pregnant and a whole new season has begun!  It is a blessing for sure, don’t mistake me.  But it is a journey, if you have ever been pregnant you know exactly what I mean.  (Read more…)

So this morning I just needed a little nurturing I guess, a little something to snap me out of the funk I woke up in and remind myself that I am beautiful (and that I won’t be this tired and inefficient forever!)

Honey-Cinnamon-Nutmeg DIY Beauty Mask please!!!

This DIY mask, made of nutmeg, honey, and cinnamon, is calming and soothing for stressed-out skin – in addition, it smells absolutely amazing!

The secret? Nutmeg and honey act as natural anti-inflammatories, which can reduce swelling and redness in skin. They’re also great for soothing acne scars and preventing infection. In addition, the nutmeg and cinnamon also work to exfoliate your skin when you wash this mask off.

  1. 2 TBS Raw Honey
  2. 1 tsp Cinnamon
  3. 1 tsp Nutmeg

Mix it up and apply to freshly washed face and sit back and relax for 20 minutes.

This mask was great, it really brightened my face and cleansed my pores.  I love the way the cinnamon and nutmeg exfoliated as I washed the mix off as well.  I think I will make a larger batch and keep in it a jar in that bathroom to use this mask a few times a week.  Try it and let me know what you think!!!
